This is a lovingly retro single-file template you can drop into a Neocities site. It gives a community-board / zine vibe — think hand-made banners, guestbooks, and playful copy. Everything runs client-side so it works on simple static hosting.
Hangout Board
A tiny client-side message board — posts are saved to your browser (localStorage) so visitors on the same computer will see them. Replace with a server backend if you host elsewhere.
Guestbook
Leave a short note for the café — fun, wholesome messages only, please.
About This Template
Made for Neocities: a single HTML file with CSS + small JavaScript. You can edit text, change colors in the :root block, and swap links/images. This template intentionally avoids external frameworks so it's easy to edit by hand.
How to use
- On Neocities, create a new site or go to your site's file manager.
- Upload this file as
index.html(or paste the contents into the editor). - Optional: add images to your Neocities assets and replace the logo area with an
<img>.
